On Tuesday The Salvation Army kicked off its Annual Angel Tree Giving Season.
The program is designed to give families a little extra help during the holidays.
Corps Officer at The Salvation Army Major Cherry Craddock said, "Through our Angel Tree program, individuals and groups from the community are able to provide for these children. It's a way to connect those who need help with those who want to lend a helping hand."
Last year, The Salvation Army helped more than 6000 families.
