Authorities are trying to track down a man wanted for aggravated battery after he allegedly attacked three people inside a Shreveport home.

Rodney Smith, 38, is accused of breaking into a house on Jan. 3 in the 4700 block of Erin Lane and attacking a 17-year-old female with a hammer.

The teenager and two other people were getting ready to leave the home when they realized their house had been broken into.  That's when Smith came out of hiding and began hitting the victims.

Smith is also accused of hitting the 17-year-old with a brick.

Smith fled the scene in one of the victim's vehicle which was later recovered in Monroe.

Smith has family ties to the Lake Providence and Oak Grove Louisiana and also in Forney, Texas.

A $600 reward is being offered in this case.  Anyone with information on Smith's whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373.
