Authorities nab burglars after they get stuck in mud

Two men are behind bars in connection with the burglary of a business in north Caddo Parish.

The burglary happened happened around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Lots of Treasures thrift shop on Hwy. 1 North.

John Patterson, 49, of Vivian and Michael Anderson, 61, allegedly backed a GMC Envoy to the side door and loaded it with furniture and electronics. When they tried to leave the vehicle got stuck in the mud.

A short while later deputies located Patterson and Anderson after someone reported seeing 2 suspicious men at a nearby business.

Patterson and Anderson were both booked into Caddo Correctional Center and charged with simple burglary.
