Bossier School system has been advised the Winter Weather Advisory that was in effect is now being upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning, deeming it necessary for us to cancel classes Wednesday, February 12, 2014.

The National Weather Service anticipates rain and freezing temperatures that could result in the accumulation of a quarter-inch or more of ice on elevated surfaces, such as bridges and overpasses, making it unsafe for our students and employees to travel. We apologize for any inconvenience this closure may cause.

In addition, all City of Bossier City administrative offices including Bossier City Council and Bossier City Court will be closed Wednesday,  due to the forecast of icy weather. Persons scheduled to appear in city court tomorrow will be notified of an alternate date.

All critical services provided by Police, Fire, Public Works, Public Utilities and Fleet Services will be available Wednesday to respond as needed.
