Tonight a Caddo Parish school board member answered questions about the district.
Curtis Hooks hosted the meeting at Lakeshore Elementary to bring his district up to speed with the school board's vision.
He also allowed employee and community members to voice their concerns.
Hooks admitted the school board needs to listen more to the people who elected them but also suggests parent participation could be part of the problem.
“Lot of times you're always singing to the choir. Like that parent that said her daughter makes straight a's, she goes to lakeshore, she's here. Now where's that parent whose child makes straight f's, at home," Says Curtis Hooks.
Less than 30 people attended tonight's meeting.
