Holiday festivities in Minden

The time to enjoy colorful lights, decorations, music, delicious food and Christmas parades is just around the corner.
This week the Holiday Trail of Lights kicks off in Shreveport-Bossier, Minden, Natchitoches and other cities around the ArkLaTex.
The trail spans across I-20 and down I-49 and all the cities that are a part of it are within close driving distance of one another.
Here's a look at some of the holiday festivities going on in the Town of Minden:

Fasching Celebration
·    Minden Fasching Fifth Season Festival - 10 a.m. until dark on Saturday, Nov. 16 at Main St. and Broadway in downtown Minden - come celebrate all things German - food, entertainment, ice skating, crafts, beer exhibition - illumination of thousands of Christmas lights and a fireworks display - Admission is FREE

Winter Wonderland Festival
·    Event takes place between noon until 7 p.m. on Dec. 7 at The Farm on 419 E. Union St.
·    Features jewelry makers, candy makers, artists, craftsmen, and doll makers - Admission is FREE

Christmas on Main
·    Annual Springhill Main Street "Christmas on Main" - starts at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12 at AmJenn's Soups & Scoops on 218 North Main St. - children get free photos taken with Santa
