Holiday festivities in Shreveport-Bossier

The time to enjoy colorful lights, decorations, music, delicious food and Christmas parades is just around the corner.

This week the Holiday Trail of Lights kicks off in Shreveport-Bossier, Minden, Natchitoches and other cities around the ArkLaTex.

The trail spans across I-20 and down I-49 and all the cities that are a part of it are within close driving distance of one another.
Here's a look at some of the holiday festivities going on in Shreveport-Bossier:

"Presents" Exhibit at Artspace
·    Includes festive decorations and offers gift wrapping. Every first and third Sat. we will have artist expression that offer hands on activities led by a local artist.
·    710 Texas Street - 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Tues. - Fri. and Noon-5 p.m. Sat. - runs from Nov. 7 to Dec. 18 - Admission is FREE

Bass Pro Shops Christmas Parade at the Outlets at the Louisiana Boardwalk
·    Christmas parade includes Color guard from Barksdale, C.E. Byrd High School Choir, Airline High School Marching Band
·     4:15 p.m.-5p.m. - Saturday, Nov. 9. - parade goes from the Marriott Hotel to the Bass Pro Shops - parade ends when Santa Claus takes his seat at Santa's Wonderland inside of Bass Pro Shops - Admission is FREE

Boardwalk Christmas Lighting Ceremony
·    Lighting of Shreveport-Bossier's largest Christmas tree - Santa Claus will also make an appearance
·    Louisiana Boardwalk - 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21 - Admission is FREE

Christmas in Roseland
·    The Gardens of the American Rose Center are transformed into a whimsical winter wonderland featuring more than a million twinkling lights, dozens of lighted displays, giant Christmas Cards Santa's Candy Shop, photos with Santa and Roseland Express train ride

The 26th Annual Greening of Louisiana State Exhibit Museum
