The auto maker is recalling certain models of minivans and SUV's due to a possible defect in the airbags.

On Thursday Honda officials announced that there may be problems with the airbag units deploying inadvertently.

The company is recalling $318,000 Odyssey minivans along with 56,000 Acura MDX SUV's.  Both of the affected models were sold during the 2003 and 2004.

Honda plans to notify owners in the coming weeks and says it will correct the problem by installing an electrical noise filter in the Supplemental Restraint System to block interference. Repairs will be made free of charge.
