Ellis Home and Garden needs your help fighting hunger in the ArkLaTex.

The food drive kicked off today and will continue through the weekend in the store parking lot on 1150 Airline Drive.

Non-perishable food donations will be accepted between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. today through Saturday and between noon and 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The items will be loaded into a truck and delivered to the food bank on Monday.

Employees say they decided to hold the food drive due to September being Hunger Awareness month.
