House Bill 312 aims to thank veterans in Louisiana.
All Louisiana citizens who have been honorably discharged from any branch of the Armed Forces will receive their basic hunting and fishing licenses, permits, and WMA permit for a $5 fee.

While the current law allows for disabled veterans to register for free, La. Rep Jeff Thompson says it's time to be more inclusive in the Sportsmans Paradise.

"I think it's something we should offer every veteran especially with all the cuts in Washington. This is Louisiana we love God, we love country, and we love our veterans," Thompson said.
