A woman has been arrested after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend with a pocket knife and chasing him down the street while he was on the phone with Natchitoches police.

Stacie Payne, 27, was arrested early Saturday morning by Natchitoches police after her boyfriend, Francisco Dominques, called police.

Natchitoches police responded to a call from Dominques stating his girlfriend had stabbed him several times and was chasing him with the knife during the conversation.

Officers located the pair in front of a local business on Breda Avenue, with Payne still holding the knife. They found Dominques suffering from several stab wounds to the chest. Officers apprehended Payne, and detectives were called out to the scene.

Dominques was transported to the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center where he was treated for his wounds. He told officers Payne had seen him with another woman and had became angry.

Payne was charged with one count of attempted second degree murder.
