A Shreveport man wanted for stealing items from unlocked vehicles and detached garages in Bossier neighborhoods last month is behind bars.

Friday morning Charles Philyaw, 24, was booked into the Bossier Maximum Security Facility.

Last week Philyaw was taken into custody by Caddo Parish deputies at his home of the 3700 block of North Market.

Philyaw was arrested after investigators found a stolen 4-wheeler from a burglary he had committed in the Swan Lake area in January.

Philyaw was also caught on video using a stolen debit/credit card that he had taken from vehicle burglaries in the Lakewood and Bayou Bend subdivisions.

The Bossier Sheriff's Office has charged Philyaw with 13 counts of simple burglary, 4 counts of unauthorized use of an access card and 1 count of simple criminal property damage.
