Teen charged with attempted 2nd degree murder

A Natchitoches teen is behind bars after allegedly shooting a man multiple times.


John McIntosh, 18, was arrested and charged with attempted second degree murder in the shooting of Leandrew Evans, 25.


Natchitoches Police Friday were dispatched to a shooting on Brahma Drive, after several 911 calls. When they arrived, officers located a male identified as Leandrew Evans, 25, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Evans had been shot at least five times with a large caliber weapon.


Evans was airlifted to University Hospital in Shreveport by the Life Air helicopter stationed at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. He was listed in stable condition.


McIntosh was placed in the Natchitoches Detention Center, where he is awaiting bond.
