A team of Thunderbirds stopped by Benton High School to talk to students today.

The team explained what it's like to be an airman and hoped to inspire the kids.

The students also got to ask them questions and for one airman it was special to be back in his hometown.

"I'm fired up about this year uh we're so happy to be back on the road doing what the thunderbirds do best and that’s getting the machine out there, getting traveling, doing air shows, talking to people um talking about what we do for the show but also what we do on a day to day basis out in the air force," Says Major Joshua Boudreaux.

Governor Bobby Jindal also sent a representative to honor the Thunderbird pilots from Louisiana.

The group also made a stop at Parkway High School.
