KTAL-TV VIEWER’S CLUB CARD OFFICIAL RULES

The Viewer’s Club Card (VCC) is: a discount and cash giveaway card available to any person within the KTAL viewing area who applies for it. Each card will be issued with a key tag and each card/tag set will have a unique number.  The holder of the VCC can use it at any of the identified participants (see official participant list) as long as its use is within guidelines of the participant agreement with KTAL-TV.  Use of the VCC must comply with all applicable laws. The VCC itself does not hold any cash value.

How to obtain the VCC:  The VCC can be obtained by filling out an application:
1) in person at the KTAL-TV studios in Shreveport or at a station event
2) on the internet at www.arklatexhomepage.com 
3) by mailing an application to:

3150 N. Market Street
Shreveport, Louisiana 71107.  

Only one card per person will be issued.

CONTEST DATES:  M-F. October 31, 2002 until further notice.  KTAL-TV reserves the right to temporarily suspend contest without notice.

CONTEST OVERVIEW:  During both the 6:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. newscasts, one VCC number per newscast will be identified.  This means that two VCC numbers will be announced during each weekday of the contest. The registered cardholder with the VCC number matching the one announced on air has between 8am and 5pm the following business day to contact KTAL-TV at 1-866-665-6000.  KTAL-TV Shreveport offices will coordinate a time with winner to physically claim their prize.  All prizes must be claimed in person at the KTAL studios within 30 days of winning.  Chosen VCC’s for Prize Giveaway will become ineligible for contest participation for a 90 day window.  Windows are defined as Jan 1-Mar. 31, Apr. 1-June30, Jul 1-Sept. 30, Oct. 1-Dec. 31 of each calendar year.

To win a person must:  Have their card number broadcast on the air during the 6:30 a.m. or 5:00 p.m. newscasts Monday – Friday.  The holder of the card will have from 8am to 5pm the following business day to call the KTAL-TV Shreveport offices (866)665-6000 to claim the prize and coordinate the time for them to pick-up the prize.  The winner must provide proof of age, address, Social Security Card or Valid Driver’s License.   Persons less than 18 years of age are eligible to hold winning VCC numbers.  However, those VCC’s of persons under the age of 18 will be considered the property of their parent or legal guardian.  Prizes will be awarded to the winning card represented by a parent or legal guardian over the age of 18.  If the winning VCC holder is unable to present proof of guardianship, person becomes ineligible for prize.

PRIZES:  Chance to win $200 each weeknight through November.

Official Rules:  Rules and prizes are subject to change without prior notification.  Official rules will be available at the KTAL-TV Shreveport studios and posted on the internet at www.arklatexhomepage.com. The most recently dated contest rules in the KTAL-TV public file will supercede all other rules.

Exclusions: 

a.        Employees and their immediate families of KTAL-TV, Nexstar Broadcasting, or any other sponsors of the "KTAL Viewer's Club" employees/promoters are not eligible to win the prizes.  Employees, agents, successors, and assignees of Sponsor, its advertising agencies and promotional companies involved in the promotion, as well as family and household members of the same, shall be ineligible to participate in the Promotion and shall be ineligible for any prize covered herein. 

b.        Names and likenesses of winner(s) may be used by Sponsor and Sponsor’s designee(s) for promotional purposes without further compensation to Sponsor or the winner(s).

c.       Anyone who has been a winner in any KTAL TV NewsChannel 6 on-air contest within the last 90 calendar days.
