12 year-old arrested for Fouke, AR murder

Victim identified as Christa Shockley

FOUKE, AR - UPDATE: The Miller County Sheriff's Office says a 12 year-old is facing capital murder charges for a Thursday shooting that left a woman dead. 
The victim is identified as 21 year-old Christa Shockley.

The 12 year-old, who has not been identified, is also charged with Aggravated Robbery. He is currently being held in the Miller County Juvenile Detention Center.

The investigation into the incident is continuing by the Miller County Sheriff’s Office.

UPDATE: On February 2, 2017, the Miller County Sheriff Office responded to the Fouke, Arkansas EZ-Mart on US Highway 71 South just after 2:00 a.m. this morning. Deputies located a female in the store. The female was deceased.
The Miller County Criminal Investigative Unit responded to Fouke, Arkansas and initiated the criminal investigation. 
Shortly after 8:00 a.m. deputies had recovered multiple critical items of evidence including the clothing the suspect wore during the crime, the weapon used to commit the crime, and identified and arrested the suspect in the Fouke community.
The suspect is a juvenile and his name is not being released
The name of the victim is not being released pending notification of relatives.
The investigation into the incident is continuing. 
No further information is available for release at this time.




The Miller County Sheriff's Office confirms they're investigating a Thursday early morning homicide in Fouke, Arkansas.

Deputies confirm one person is dead and the investigation continues.

Officials on scene tell our crew the shooting happened at the EZ Mart on U.S. 71 around 2 a.m. Thursday.

One woman was killed.

Miller County deputies later released a description of the suspect as a male wearing a red hoodie and carrying a large backpack.

Around 8 a.m, our reporter witnessed deputies arresting a juvenile at Fouke High School who appeared to possibly match that description.
