Two teenagers have been arrested by authorities in connection with the rape of a juvenile.

In late April of 2014, Shreveport Police received information relative to the sexual assault of a 12-year-old female victim.

Detectives with the department's Sex Crimes Unit were notified and immediately began their investigation.

Based on information and evidence gathered, detectives were able to identify 18-year-old, Terrance Leggett, and a 16-year-old male as the suspects responsible for the crime.

Following interviews with the teens, investigators charged them with one count of Aggravated Rape.

Leggett, of the 6000 block of West 70th Stree, was booked into the Shreveport City Jail, while the juvenile was booked in the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Facility.
