Weight Watcher's, Caroline Deniakos, joined us early on NBC 6 News This Morning to talk about two items.
Salads can trick people into thinking they're eating healthy, but depending on what's on top could make it more fattening then you think.
Deniakos brought in a shrimp salad with onions and other vegetables.
She says that topping it with a dressing like Balsamic is a much better option than creamier dressings like Ranch or Blue Cheese.
In fact, a small portion of Ranch has as much fat and calories as the entire salad.
Croutons and cheese are other toppings that should be added in moderation.
Deniakos also brought some frozen yogurt.
