Award winning journalist Alese Underwood joined NBC 6 as a reporter in July 2012, and is excited to call the ArkLaTex her home. Before coming to NBC bio_alese_underwood.jpg6 Alese spent 2 years at WJET-TV in Erie, PA.   While in Erie Alese won a Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters Award (PAB) for a story following a young child through the adoption process.   She also reported on the 10th anniversary of September 11th and the passengers of United Airlines Flight 93 in Shanksville, PA.  

Alese grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated with a double major in Broadcasting and Public Relations from Chatham University.

When she's not working, Alese can be found shopping at her favorite stores or cheering on her favorite hometown sports teams...the Penguins, Steelers, Pirates, and Panthers!  But she?s also busy learning the fine points of the local Southern and Cajun cuisine, and can?t wait to attend her first LSU game.  (Geaux Tigers!)
