Authorities identify body found in Red River

The Bossier Sheriff's Office has released the name of the man recovered from the Red River.

Tuesday night two fishermen discovered the body of Glen Bowens, Jr., 22, of Shreveport, floating in the water about  a mile south of Red River South Marina on Hwy 71.

On Wednesday Crime Scene Investigators positively identified Bowens' body by fingerprint records.

Bowens, who was originally from California, but had been living in Shreveport.   He was reportedly last seen by friends near the riverfront on March 23. 

While the exact cause of Bowens' death is still undetermined, investigators indicate there is no sign of trauma or any indication of foul play.
