Students at bossier elementary learn about living a healthy lifestyle in a unique way.
Its's called the "Body Walk."
Kids start at the cafeteria and "become" a food item that goes through digestion.
There are 11 learning stations for different body parts.
The goal is to teach healthy habits and fight childhood obesity.
The event manager, John Albarado, says, “So you really know the program works..um i hear..i'm in the field all the time so i hear it all the time."
The event is part of an innovative program sponsored by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of the Louisiana Foundation and the LSU Ag-center.
