You can show your support for the Bossier Sheriff’s Young Marines by playing a round of golf.

The Young Marines Benefit Golf Classic will be held Monday, June 9, at the Palmetto Country Club in Benton.

The tournament will benefit the local youth program that has made a positive impact on the lives of nearly 1,100 young men and women.

The format will be a four-person scramble with a shotgun start at noon and will have lots of prizes and a meal, as well as food and refreshments during the course of play.

The cost of play is $125 per player or $500 for a four-player team, which covers green fees, cart, driving range privileges, meals and prizes.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams, longest drive, closest-to-the-pin, special hole-in-one prizes and door prizes.  Lunch will be provided at 11 a.m. just prior to the noon shotgun start.

Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington said, “Supporters from right here in our area to people from around the country and world have rallied to show their support for the Young Marines program over the past year, and we are excited to have this golf scramble to continue to show support for young men and women in northwest Louisiana.”

Hole sponsorships are available for $125 and corporate sponsorships are available as well.  Contact (318) 965-2400 for more information on the tournament.

Entry forms can be found at all Bossier Sheriff’s Office locations, Palmetto Country Club and at www.bossiersheriff.comon the right side of the page.

All proceeds from the golf scramble will go to support the Bossier Sheriff’s Young Marines.  For more information on the Bossier Sheriff’s Young Marines, call 965-3500.
