Bossier Parish Community College is now preparing locals to work at the new Benteler Steel Plant.

The steel tube mill is set to open by the end of 2014. BPCC is now training future Benteler employees with its new Certification for Manufactoring Program.

BPCC will offer these classes in its new $22 million dollar Center for Advanced Manufactoring facility, set to open in June. Registration is open now. Classes start May 28. The 16-week program costs $1,646.

Benteler plans to hire 675 people for its new plant. It's hiring now.
