A D.A.R.E. officer with the Bossier Sheriff's Office was invited to speak to the Legislative Youth Advisory Council this weekend about bullying.
On Saturday Dep. Greg Kimbrough talked to the Council on Bullying in Baton Rouge about the impact bullying has on students and what steps can be taken to reduce this cruel act.

Kimbrough briefed the students about bullying from a school and law enforcement standpoint and the council will have a Bullying Committee next year to help the state legislature deal with the issue.

Meanwhile, Aislinn, daughter of Kimbrough and Benton High School student, is proposing using  a phone App for reporting bullying incidences and will work with the committee on a grant to get the money to create the phone App that can be used at all schools throughout the state.
