Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington says a Bossier City man was arrested at his residence Thursday after detectives recovered stolen items from his house taken in a burglary in Shreveport about seven weeks earlier.
Detectives had obtained a search warrant for the residence of Roger A. Burgdorf, 38, of the 2800 block of Patricia Dr. in Bossier City, after Shreveport Police developed information that linked his address to a residential burglary in Shreveport New Year’s Day.
As detectives with the Bossier Sheriff’s Office, Shreveport Police Department and Bossier City Police Department executed the warrant Thursday afternoon, they recovered a Rolex watch, handgun, collectable baseball cards and sports memorabilia and the victim’s birth certificate and personal effects. Detectives also linked Burgdorf to recent Bossier City burglaries after they found stolen items in his residence that were taken from Bossier City business and vehicle burglaries.
In addition to the stolen items, detectives also discovered methamphetamine, marijuana and an assortment of controlled prescription narcotics. Burgdorf was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of firearms with narcotics, illegal possession of stolen things, illegal possession of a stolen firearm, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility for booking.
Burgdorf’s roommates, Emily Amanda Thrash, 27, and John “JT” Thomson III, 37, were not at the residence during the search and are now wanted for felony illegal possession of stolen things, two counts of possession of Schedule IV, two counts of possession of methamphetamine and one count of possession of marijuana.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Thrash or Thomson is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100. They can also submit a tip via the Bossier Crime Stoppers website www.bossiercrimestoppers.org. Persons who contact Crime Stoppers are reminded they may remain totally anonymous.
