Shreveport's own Cole Vosbury made it to the top ten on NBC's “The Voice.” While he's in Los Angeles he's still depending on his hometown keeping him in the running.

Some of Cole's family just got back to Shreveport, Wednesday night from L.A. They're excited to be able to share this experience with all of you.

It started with 44 now they're down to ten and Cole told NBC 6 News he is excited to be a part of the show.

This week's performance won him a spot in the top ten and his father and grandmother were there to see it. His father Robin Vosbury says watching the competition unfold in front of their eyes wasn't the easiest thing for them.

"As he goes deeper and deeper it becomes more surreal. It’s just like wow this is really happening.”

Cole's dad is glad to be back in Shreveport and next week he'll watch his son from the Port City.

"It's brutal on the parents and the folks in the crowd."

Monday Cole will be counting on his hometown to get him through to the next round.

Once again Cole's next performance is Monday at 7 on NBC 6. It's a live show so, he'll be counting on your support to keep him the competition.
