Removing Common Core comes with a $25 million dollar price tag. The Board of Elementary & Secondary Education called a special meeting Tuesday.
This comes after last month Governor Jindal suspended a state contract to prevent the purchase of Common Core testing material. BESE wants to move forward with Common Core.
During Tueday’s meeting they discussed filing a lawsuit against the governor. Governor Jindal wants the state to develop its own testing standards.
This debate is creating a lot of confusion for parents and educator, who have been preparing for Common Core for several years now. Unfortunately it seems like this controversy isn't going to end any time soon.
