It's double trouble for parents at one local hospital. Nurses at University Health are caring for nine sets of twins.

This is a first for the neonatal care unit. Debi Hardin, RN says dealing with twins can cause some confusion when dealing with medication.

“We’re all chipping in together and we help each other.”

Ben and Amanda Pearce are the parents of one of these two peas in a pod.

Amanda says, “It was still a shocker but exciting."

Twins account for about one in every 30 births in the United States. Not everyone might agree that the best things in life come in twos.
