Bowie County Sheriff Deputies investigate a fatal shooting.

It happened Wednesday night just after 8 p.m. south of Maud.

Bowie County sheriff, James Prince, tells KTAL that two brothers went to a man's house near County Road 1201.

The three individuals got into an argument over personal property, and at some point the man who lived in the house grabbed his gun and shot one of the brothers.

The other brother, got into his vehicle and ran over the shooter.

Prince says it's unclear which event happened first, if the man who lived in the house shot the brother, or if he was run over.

The man who was shot died, and the individual run over was taken to Christus Saint Michael Hospital.

At this time, no names are being released.

Officials continue to investigate and say more information will be released when available.
