Shreveport law enforcement investigate a single vehicle crash in the Highland neighborhood.

Shreveport Fire tells NBC 6 News that it happened just after midnight near the intersection of Robinson and Creswell.

They say an adult male was driving east on Robinson, when he lost control of his red pickup.

The vehicle hit a tree, and burst into flames.

Officials say the driver and a passenger in the vehicle both died on impact.

The passenger was only identified as an adult female.

Officials say speed may have been a factor.

An investigation is ongoing.
