UPDATE: Caddo Parish Jury finds Fredieu guilty on all counts

CADDO PARISH - UPDATE:

A Shreveport man accused of killing a woman and wounding two others during a 2015 shooting rampage was found guilty on all counts by a Caddo Parish jury Friday.

Sherman Fredieu Jr., 30, of Bossier City, faces a mandatory life sentence in the murder of Verdina D. Crichlow.
 
Crichlow, 36, was shot 15 times back on Oct. 27, 2015 at apartment complex in Cedar Grove. Another woman and a teenager were also wounded in the shooting.

The 12-member jury deliberated under 50 minutes before returning with its unanimous verdicts of guilty of second-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder.

The murder trial of Sherman Fredieu Jr. continues today in Caddo District Court.

Fredieu is charged with the October 27, 2015 slaying of Verdina D. Crichlow, 36, shot 15 times in her arms, chest, breast, buttocks, stomach and pubic area, in a shooting that also wounded another adult female and a teen in Cedar Grove.

If convicted of second-degree murder as charged, Fredieu faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison at hard labor.
