Its Easter weekend and a lot of people are hitting the road, but gas prices are hitting their wallets. According to officials the average price for a gallon of gas in Shreveport-Bossier is $3.49. That’s twenty-five cents higher than last month.
Triple A officials say the increase is normal for springtime. They say refineries that are switching to summer fuel production disrupt the distribution system causing prices to rise. They expect prices to continue to rise through the summer and drop again in the fall.
