You don't have to be the most experienced of chefs to make a delicious sandwich.
NBC 6's Jade Cunningham met with Twine Chef, Patrece Jones, to get some tips on sandwich making.
First thing, making fresh mayonnaise.
What you'll need:
1 egg yolk
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1 Tablespoon water
1 teaspoon mustard (of your choice)
1 cup olive oil (not EVOO)
1) Place egg yolk, lemon juice, water, mustard in a narrow, tall container
2) Pour over oil, then let the content settle for a moment
3) Using an immersion blender, keep it still and process until the mayonnaise starts to form
4) Once the mayonnaise starts to take shape, move the blender around, thickening it
The sandwich made Tuesday morning, used bread (Twine's new Highland Bread), cheese, ham, mango salsa, the fresh mayonnaise and grilled it.
Chef Patrece says a good sandwich will include items of different textures and flavors.
She also adds to have fun with the ingredients and try new things.
