Shelly Redmond, a local author, nutritionist and busy mom, talks about healthy breakfast recipes for families on the go.

Shelly says cereals can be quick and easy breakfast meals but make sure you're family is eating "A+" cereals that have high levels of fiber and protein. "F" cereals are high in sugar and are usually those targetted at children. Shelly says another easy "make ahead" breakfast is a yogurt parfait. You can make these the night before a busy morning by combining Greek yogurt (it has more protein), fruits and nuts.
