House fire under investigation

Shreveport Fire officials are investigating an early morning house fire.

It happened around 6:15am Thursday on the 3000 block of Ivy Lane.

Authorities tell NBC 6 News that when firefighters arrived, flames were coming from the back bedroom.

The fire then spread to the attic.

Fire Engine 15 was the first to arrive.

The flames were contained within 10 minutes.

There are people living in the house, but they tell authorities that they do not have utilities.

Investigators are on-scene now gathering information on this incident.
