Drivers are dealing with white smoke filling the air near I-220 in Shreveport.

A fire has been burning at the Harrelson Materials Management Landfill off of Russell Road since Wednesday.

The landfill's owner, Michael Harrelson, says the flare up is from a fire started by a busted water main in 2010. For the past four years, minor flare ups have plagued the landfill.

Harrelson has been working with Shreveport Fire Department to put out the fire.

No word on when the flames will be completely out.
