Losing a child is difficult on a family but a new group called the Compassionate Friends wants to help.

It's a national organization dedicated to letting families talk about their lost loved ones in a safe environment.

Janice Pantalion's daughter lost her son 3 years ago and starting the Shreveport/Bossier group has helped them both heal.

The compassionate friends group will meet at Virginia college in Pierre Bossier mall at 6:30pm every first Tuesday of the month.
