Accused Grambling University shooter indicted, arraignment date set

LINCOLN PARISH - The Grambling State University student charged with killing two people on campus is indicted on murder charges.

Jaylin Wayne was indicted November 8 on two counts of first-degree murder.

Wayne is accused of killing Earl Andrews and Monquiarious Caldwell.

Andrews also was attending Grambling State.

Both were killed on Grambling's campus last month.

His arraignment is set for November 21 at 9 a.m. in Lincoln Parish.

According to Lincoln Parish District Attorney John Belton, they are waiting for the final police report before deciding if they will seek the death penalty in this case.
