AR women arrested after baby's body found in refrigerator

OZARK, Ark. (KNWA) - Two Arkansas women have been arrested after police say they found the body of a baby inside a box that had been placed in a refrigerator.

Mary Williams, 38, and Vickie Falconio, 64, face felony charges of concealing a birth and abuse of a corpse.

The infant's body was found after Williams, who was being held at the Franklin County Detention Center said she was having abdominal pain from birth. She reportedly told medical staff that she had a baby and "disposed" of it at her home.

Police officers then went to Williams' home and made the discovery. The baby is believed to have been born between Jan. 19 and Jan. 23.

The baby's remains were sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy. Additional charges will be reviewed pending the results of the autopsy.
