Texarkana, TX - The Big Lot's in Texarkana temporarily closes its doors after a failing health inspection.
The city says after investigating a complaint., health inspectors found contaminated food and food not being prepared properly.
City officials say they are working with the business to resolve the issue.
"We take this job at the city really seriously because this is the health of our residents that we're talking about. So it's really important to us to make sure the food that they're selling is safe to consume and it's not going to make anyone sick" says Texarkana, Texas Public Info Officer Lisa Thompson.
The city says the store can still sell other items. They are not allowed to sell food until they pass further inspection.
