BATON ROUGE, LA - Louisiana lawmakers have approved a bill that would raise the ras tax by 17 cents a gallon.
If approved, it would raise $510 million annually for the state's roads and bridges.
House Bill 632 made it out of the House Ways and Means Committee with a 9-7 vote.
It now moves to the full house.
