Caddo grand jury hands down two indictments

One man faces 2nd degree murder charges; a woman faces manslaughter charges

CADDO PARISH, La. - A Caddo Parish Grand Jury today handed down two indictments in murder cases.

Shemeka Jackson, 35, was indicted on manslaughter in the shooting death of 70-year-old Kenneth Clay Foshee and Raymond Johnson, 51, will face second degree murder charges in the stabbing death of 44-year-old Yolanda Moore.

Moore’s body was found inside a residence in the 2600 block of Randolph Street on April 29. Johnson, who was suffering minor cuts to his body, was arrested in connection with Moore’s death. He was then taken to University Health where he was treated for his injuries.

Foshee’s body was found sitting inside his truck on Travis Street between Common and Douglas Streets in downtown Shreveport on May 5. He had been shot in the head.

Police obtained a surveillance photo of a woman speaking with the victim prior to his death. Investigators were able to identify Jackson as the woman, and she was arrested in connection with Foshee’s death.
