Caught on camera: Bossier Dollar General heist

Gunman robs Barksdale Boulevard store and flees on foot

BOSSIER CITY, La. - The Bossier City Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at the Dollar General store in the 2300 block a Barksdale Boulevard Friday evening.

The incident happened just after 7 p.m. when a male subject who had entered the store pulled a handgun on employees and robbed the business of an undisclosed amount of money. He then fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Several customers were inside the store at the time of the robbery. There were no reported injuries.

Witnesses described the suspect as a black male in his 20s who was wearing a black and gray hoodie sweatshirt. 

The suspect was caught on store security cameras and detectives are asking the public for help with identifying him. Anyone who can do so is asked to call Bossier Crimestoppers at 424-4100.
