East Texas Winery & Restaurant Competes In National Contest

Voting Underway Through August 14

Pittsburg, Tx - A winery and restaurant in Camp County, Texas has been chosen as a finalist in a national contest!

Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards in Pittsburg is competing in USA Today's contest for "Best Winery Restaurant" in the United States.

Managing partner Gerald Jones said, "You peel back the pine curtain and people don't realize what we're doing out here."

But the winery is no secret anymore.  Managing partner Lesa Jones said, "We still pinch ourselves all the time!"  Some award winning wines are produced at Los Pinos.  Gerald said, "We're sixth for the most sold wines in the state out of 431 wineries and counting."

This winery, along with the restaurant, which is named "Fork and Spoon", ranked second in this contest last year.  This year, they'd like to be the best.  Lesa said, "Last year when we were nominated I thought .. I almost didn't even respond because I was like what's the catch?!"

The Jones' attribute their success to the heart and soul their team puts into the wine and food.  Lesa said, "I think people are looking for an escape and we provide that."
