FBI assisting in north Louisiana bank robbery investigations

Robberies occured in Webster & West Carroll Parishes

The FBI is assisting Louisiana State Police to help track down two suspects wanted for robbing banks in Webster and West Carroll Parishes.

The first robbery happened on November 10.

Troopers say suspects entered the Guaranty Bank in Epps, Louisiana, and produced a handgun.  The suspects demanded money from the teller and left with an undetermined amount of currency.  One of the suspects appears to be a female and the other suspect appears to be a male.  Both suspects wore apparel nearly completely concealing themselves.

The second robbery happened on November 27.

Troopers say the suspects armed with handguns entered the Barksdale Federal Credit Union in Cotton Valley, Louisiana.  As in the previous robbery, one suspect appears to be a female and the other appears to be a male.  The robberies are thought to be connected.

These suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations at 318-741-2723 or the FBI’s Shreveport field office at 318-861-1890.  The FBI is offering a reward for information which leads to the arrest and indictment of the suspects responsible for these robberies.

The Cotton Valley Police Department, Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office, Epps Police Department and the West Carroll Sheriff’s Office are also participating in the investigation.
