Texarkana, USA - The Red River Army Depot in Bowie County is now under a hiring freeze, due to President Donald Trump's executive order.
The Red River Army Depot is one of area's largest employers.
Now community leaders are worried about the impact on the area.
The Texarkana Chamber of Commerce wrote letters to elected officials in Texas and Arkansas for an exemption from the executive order.
President Mike Malone of the Chamber of Commerce say's "We have heard a positive response. They gave us their in this request so it's moving forward."
There are more than 4,800 people currently employed at The Red River Army Depot.
