BATON ROUGE, LA - A disagreement between two Louisiana lawmakers ended in a fistfight.
It happened Tuesday night between State Rep. Robert Bishop and State Sen. Norby Chabert.
Bishop took to the House floor to apologize.
"The integrity of this body is one thing I cherish and hold dear," he said. "If I embarrassed any of you, I truly apologize."
Chabert was reportedly upset that Bishop, who chairs the House Natural Resources Committee, blocked legislation he presented earlier in the day.
"I love Stuart like a brother, and sometimes brothers fight," Chabert told the USA Today Network. "We are both passionate people, and sometimes that gets the best of us."
Police were called, but no arrests were made.
