Local nonprofit needs help for the children in their program

Local nonprofit organization “Oasis Outreach” needs your help with a summer educational trip for the children a part of their summer program. President, Barrington Gibson, has organized the “300 People in Denim” an evening of singing, dancing, and spoken word to help bring attention to the nonprofit’s need.

Oasis Outreach serves less fortunate children who are predominantly African American and live in low income neighborhoods. Many of the children within the program circumstances have caused them to never experience traveling outside of the city limits.

Mr. Gibson is on a mission to change that and give these children an opportunity of a lifetime. “We are blessed to have built strong relationships with the children and their parents in our program,” said Barrington Gibson, Event Host. “At Oasis, we don’t aim to judge families because of their circumstances but we find ways to make their dreams come true. The parents of these children are grateful for our zeal ensuring their children get an opportunity that they can’t afford but desire this opportunity for their children.”

300 People in Denim will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 7:00 P. M. at Oasis Outreach, “H. L. Lars Fellowship Center” – 1431 Russell Road – Shreveport, Louisiana 71107. The general public is invited to attend and/or make a donation to the organization.
