Man jailed for two murders in Sabine Parish

SABINE PARISH, La. - A man is facing murder charges in connection with two fatal shootings in Sabine Parish.

On Thursday deputies arrested 39-year-old Blake Joseph Kendall, of Many, and booked him into the Sabine Parish Detention Center for theft of a firearm.   

Investigators are in the process of obtaining two warrants for Kendall for 1st Degree Murder.

On Aug. 19, 2017 72-year-old Jerry W. Scott, of Many, was found shot to death inside his home on Matthews Lodge Rd.

On Dec. 15, 2017 34-year-old Adam L. Jeter, of Zwolle, was shot to death in his vehicle while checking the mail in front of his home on Patterson Rd.

Detectives have determined that both Scott and Jeter were killed with the same gun, a Beretta 9mm pistol, which is now in the custody of the Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Kendall is currently being held without bond.
