NPSO deputies arrest Texas fugitive

Suspect clocked at 102 mph on I-49 wanted for armed robbery in Longview

NATCHITOCHES PARISH, La. - A man wanted for armed robbery in Texas was captured by Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies during a traffic stop on Interstate 49 near Natchitoches on Saturday afternoon according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones.

MaCailyn V. Wilder of Hallsville, was arrested by NPSO deputies and booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center Saturday evening.

It happened just after 5:30 p.m. Saturday when NPSO Deputies were patrolling on Interstate 49 just south of Natchitoches and clocked a northbound 2013 Dodge Avenger passenger car driving102 miles per hour in a 75 mph speed zone.

When deputies stopped the speeding vehicle and identified Wilder, they did a National Crime Information Check (NCIC), they not only learned Wilder's was driving on a  suspended, but that he also had been wanted for Armed Robbery by Longview, Texas authorities since August 2017.

Wilder was transported and booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center for Speeding 102/75, Driving under Suspension and Texas Fugitive-Armed Robbery.

Wilder remains in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center awaiting extradition proceedings.

Deputies say Wilder was traveling from Alexandria to Hallsville, Texas. The vehicle was impounded by a local wrecker service.
